Peter Brosius remembered seeing him for the first time with pigs on his back, decades ago. My field assistant and I would light up whenever he came home from the hunt and I would egg him on to see if Karang had brought anything back. He told me he didn't want to re-adjust to life after resettlement; and he didn't. He died a few months after this photo.
